So once again I've been on my own since lunchtime Christmas Day, and I'm already eating myself into a carb coma and talking to the Christmas tree for company.
Anyone else struggling to keep the spirits up? |

I've held several spirits up in my drinking hand this Christmas. |

It's bliss. I used to be horrified when my ex mother in law would have my girls packed up n waiting by the door for me to pick them up but know I know how she felt. xxx |

"I've been alone since about 1 yesterday afternoon. It was all carefully crafted, now I'm annoyed at myself that I'm a bit lonely. "
Yeah that's the same as me. I spend all year enjoying my own company and have one day feeling like a weakling for craving some human contact |

I've decided (not recently) that I'm an introvert. Yesterday I could feel my anxiety levels rising and actually I'm not really an anxious person but I know when that happens that it's time for me to go home. As soon as I get home all is right in my world. The anxiety leaves and I'm back in my comfort zone. It's not really anxiety as such, I know lots of people suffer, but it's the only word I can think that describes it. Antsy maybe is better. I like to be alone. I spend time with people and after a while, I'm happy not to have to talk to anyone. Maybe I'm just odd. |

Yeah that sounds familiar. I can fewl quite awkward and anxious away from home and in certain social situations and often hit a point where I just need to be by myself at home. I think it's just making me sad the last 24 hours, I feel more lonely than alone. I don't like it |

This is the first Christmas I have spent on my own and it's horrible. I hope to never experience this again and also my pocket couldn't handle it either as the contents of the fridge are nearly all gone and have started to look in the cupboards already x |

This is exactly how I am feeling as well, so unlike me, but I have now poured a wine |

Today is just another day. I've not had any Christmas food and nothing in either. |

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
You can also feel very alone in a room full of people!
Just wondering how many on the thread are close enough to perhaps pic a mutually suitable place and have a drink (didn't put social for a reason, as no connotation of anything) |

To be fair I usually spend Christmas Day on my tod, but for the first time in years I have had my son all Christmas, plus had friends over, whilst not exactly a debauchery filled time, it has been enjoyable all the same |

"There are worse things than being alone.
There are better things too. If people are feeling lonely then that's just how it is "

Ooh now there's a good point.
I've been on my own since yesterday tea time. Kept busy with work today so not so bad. But then one can feel alone in a room full of people. But im a watcher too so it's not so bad |

Ahh this reminds me of the film castaway that I had seen 2 days ago, When tom was marooned for 6 years on a desert island. The only company that he had to stop him from going insane, was a soccer ball that he called Wilson.
I called my balls Bill & Ben. Sadly I'm not double jointed, so I am unable to kiss then goodnight |
