I've just woken up from Christmas lunch, and now feeling peckish.

How much have you scoffed today?

I've eaten: Bacon in baguette, 3 sausage rolls, a Christmas dinner, black forest gateaux with cream.

I'm feeling some cheese and crackers with plum chutney later

Not much actually, a small breakfast, lunch didn't happen as we decided to do a road trip. So Christmas lunch became dinner. We only bought enough for 2.

Breakfast was coffee and more coffee.

Then onto Christmas lunch and wine(s).

Cheese board and biscuits this evening and more wines(s), some chocolates and more wine(s).

Always plenty of room for more wine. .

More of a wine coma than a food one.

Coffee for breakfast. Then a cup of tea. Then a three course dinner with fizzy plonk. I feel like Violet Beauregarde, just less purple. Although saying that there may be cheese, pickles and biscuits in a few hours.

It was the Christmas pudding with cream - it pushed me over the edge!

And that was 3 hours ago

I'm having chamomile tea to try and ease the pain.

(or maybe it was the fizzy stuff I started drinking at 2pm )

That reminds me I've still got a jar of pickled onions in the cupboard from last year that I couldn't open. Bet I still can't open them this year. xxx

Loosen the grippy bit of the lid onto the jar with a palette knife? Always works for me.
