I do feel for people who are lonely but I can honestly say I've never ever felt lonely. I like my own company and perhaps it's because I know there are family and friends to visit when I feel the urge but actually I like to be alone. I'm content and I love my cat so I'm never really on my own. |

I completely understand how hard it may be for some people but being alone is not always something that needs sympathy and fixing.

It certainly is, but I've got a mate who lives across the landing from me here with me and we are going to the pub for an hour or so in a bit.
There are times when everyone needs to be on their own to have some "me time", but having the right company is wonderful as well   |

Hear hear! Just watched Am American in Paris on TV this morning, one of my all-time favourite films, now just sipping my first glass of champagne with mini turkey crown in oven. No stroppy partner or annoying family to get on my nerves, and can do what I like....yippee! Merry Christmas to you all x |

i like it then think about what if my family were not here. i'd miss them so much. being the only one to live miles away, seeing them at xmas is lovely,stressful and nice to get home and enjoy the peace (and a play) afterwards |

We're alone, as a couple it is bliss not having to deal with family. Hang around the house in our undies, watch doctor who over dinner then an evening of pornography and sensual oils.. |
