Having made contact with a guy, shared details ideas picts even postcode and mobile --- next msg says "am calling it off" and their profile becomes hidden????

Happens all the time OP. People change their mind for all manner of reasons.
I don't accommodate but if I did I wouldn't share address/postcode details until the day of the meet.
You could try a social meet first in a public place. Just go for a culpa or a pint and a chat. There is no pressure that way and less likelihood of people getting cold feet. |

Better than them just standing you up on the day I guess. It is frustrating but you have to respect the fact people change their minds. It would be nice if they told you why but it tends not to happen. Could be a whole host of reasons, look at whether there were any red flags that might have given you a clue, chalk it up to experience and move on. |

Hi Op!
About 70% (minimum) of the meets I arrange with guys not on the forums turn to shit! I find that when I arrange meets with fellow forumites - though they can take more arranging due to distance etc - they tend to happen - and when they do they're invariably great because we've gotten to know each other on the forums! Hence my favourite men on fab are fellow forumites - though sadly live quite a way away so I don't see them as often as I'd like!
Even more of a lovely treat when I do though!  |

Many thanks to each of you for your honest thoughts - I do appreciate all that you say and it really helps me to understand how other fab folk view my possible actions to meet .
