Hey just thought I'll ask the question of those who used dating websites what are your successes on them?
Would anyone have any tips on what to include on a profile if I was to make one?

that is true I just wanted people's opinion on it ideally I want to use fab to find new people not meet and socialise with don't really care about the sex if it ever comes to that yeah it's a bonus but not my priority.
I think I'm after something a little long term but I'm not sure if I'm honest |

I really think that real life is the best way to meet a potential partner ( unless it's just a shag)
The Internet is just a playground for fakes and liars and unless you want to make Internet dating your full time job then I think having real life encounters is the way forward!

I met the Mr through a dating app, at the time I'd downloaded a few different ones and was going on dates every weekend. I'm struggling to put my finger on what made it work with him rather than the other dates I went on. I guess as well as the obvious thing (we clicked), we were both looking for the same thing, and we were both honest about that. It took a few months for me to fully disclose my sexual preferences, but our sex life was very passionate and adventurous from the start, so it wasn't the biggest leap.

I have had more success on dating sites and found a couple of steady nsa partners for a while (not at the same time). I found the sites far more sociable than here. Still had my greatest success the old fashioned way though. The internet is a weird place... |

I suppose it is all down to what people are looking g for. My son is autistic and met his new wife on a specialized dating site. Both have autism. I do not want another wife .... The last one bleed me dry both financially and emotionally.
Fab works for me but if I was ever on the look out for a long term partner I'd start going out to bars and clubs a bit more. |

haha i get the colonels trying to add me on skype for some reason.
i agree there is more bullshit on dating sites. i'm still gonna try again in the new year though coz i like going out on dates and am compatible with many guys i've found out. although i think i scare guys off with my high sex drive and love of sex so idk, might not find anyone who is compatible that way with me.
just not gonna fall for the we're in a 'relationship' so let's do bareback thing next year though. only really trusted guys i will, and that'll be when i stop being so promiscuous also. |

The rude demanding profiles of the women on Fab tend to be a result of being exposed to bad manners from many men, who fail to speak to women as human beings. We both met on plenty of fish. We've been together almost 10 months now. Neither of us was looking for anything serious when we met, it just happened, we clicked in a big way.
We were honest on our profiles, and chatted loads in the days before we met.
Dating sites don't work for everyone, but sometimes the planets align and you meet somebody amazingly compatible with you. |

Of the men I've met, Ive found guys tend to me more honest on Fab, hence my disdain for the dating sites. Tinder is a pain too, been trying to get a shag off there for nearly a year! I've approached guys with a Fab mentality on there and I think guys either think I'm fake or pulling their leg.

I must admit I don't have the patience for online dating-- becomes either a too superficial exercise or overly cerebral exercise. Prefer meeting in person to get a wholistic impression .. |

Last year was on POF and tinder.
Met a guy. Dated for 15 months. Turned out I was too horny for him amongst the many complaints he had about me. So no more dating. No more dating sites or relationships. Just want sex. I may seem cold and distant but no man is worth my tears.

Many of the websites, but not all, use the same database but brand it as their own so to some extent it doesnt matter which one you use.
Understand your comment about not having the patience, though it suited us (due to circumstance).It enabled initial filtering as well as creating opportunities. |

Well it's not respectful to simply as for sex when my dating profile was very clear (after the million questions you have to fill in) that I was looking for a long term relationship
The rest.. well they as I said either ignored or were that far away or old that it was a non starter |

Yes my experience of so called dating websites has been negative..
Been suckered in like many others with initial overwhelming automated winks mages, only gorcthem to disappear once you,ve parted with cash....
Equally I accept I,m not the most photogenic . I do feel people use initial profile photo,s to base choices on and gravitate to pretty people first.
Honestly I find it better face to face in person easier..
But oddly a lot less confident in date asking than on line....Think its because I,m more in tune with other persons vibe and body language if it were to be received well.
As supposedly good casual hookup sex sites ...... well as yet have,nt stumbled across any... |
