Apparently favourite for the Crystal Palace job....

Boggles my mind that he could possibly, ever, have any further connection with football. Fat, arrogant twat.....corrupt yo the core and not even much use as a manager.

But then that's football through and through. The merry-go-round of failure!

To be allowed back into a managerial post less than 6 months after his fall from grace is just laughable

I'd personally like people who being the sport into disrespect to serve, at least, a two year ban from taking up that sort of position

If you can block someone from being a club owner, as bit being right and proper or fit to do so, then the same should apply

Oooo'er but surely in that case where disrespecting the sport is the main agenda the FA should hold a symposium naming and shamming every single manager ( many of whom enjoy legionary status) from past and present who've been known to pay or accept bungs when trying to secure the service of a players or field a strategically inferior teams for a game they placed little value of securing the win.....

I rest my case......

The point is the game is totally corrupt....a typical "boys club" mentality.

Reflected in all the cover-ups of historical abuse that are now flooding out. Clubs paying people off to keep quiet etc.

The who,e game is full of, and run by scum!

he's not alone .football is rotten to the core.the FA,UEFA,FIFA the lot.its all about money now.football is not the same anymore.I wouldn't pay 30 or40 quid to watch maybe 3 or 4 shots at goal per game.I've gone back to grass roots soccer much more entertaining

Gary Rowett just sacked by Birmingham would be the perfect man for the job, for two years he ran my club with no money to spend future England manager and as honest as they come.

He will keep Palace up and they wont lose out on any money, except the pay off for Pardew.

Money talks.

I'd definitely take him at Norwich to get us back into the premier league...dinosaur football but the club would be in a stronger position.

He's one of the most successful managers England has produced. He'd probably finish mid table with Palace.

Can't believe he didn't get a ban though.

Corrupt to the core, from Peter Swan (life ban in 60s), to Don Revie(Gary sprake), Brian Clough (long Eaton friendly), George Graham, Harry Redknapp, Sam and his corrupt agent son, its like the football equivalent of the "Eton old boys" network. Same as earlier post, I've been all round the world with England, knocked it on head ages ago. You've got untold agents whose parents were footballers and get transfers that benefit all concerned. Sam and all the Bolton cronies (Phil gartside) rinsed Bolton thru agents fees and buying African players where the money couldn't be traced.

So just to add he's never been caught receiving a bung, he just negotiated to give a talk for a lot of money which anyone would do. He was just going to explain how to get a third party ownership player into the prem which any knowledgeable fan even knew. Was it stupid considering his dream position? Yes but illegal or against any FIFA or FA rules no.

Shame on Crystal Palace and shame on the FA for allowing this.

Then people have the cheek to moan about corruption in FIFA! Double standards.

Yes, I agree FIFA as a whole are corrupt, but how can we complain about their corruption (such as over the 2018 WC rights) and then allow for a crook like Allardyce to be appointed manager of one of the teams in our best league! Disgrace.

Football players and managers can do anything!

They can commit domestic assaults, sexual assaults, drink drive, adulterise at leisure, fraud, cause the deaths of others, and still they will step on a pitch and people will sing their names and adore them!

We have made them invincible
