I'm not a big fan of these type of threads as I think it's non inclusive, reinforces people who are popular and those who aren't.

I think I read some of the suggestions and they may have been in jest but some categories were not in the spirit and were only going to cause a rift.

Yes the prolific posters usually win but then again, why shouldn't they as they contribute a lot.

I am not interested in any of it but the last 5/6 years have been ok.

Why be put off if its something that you want to do? Looks like there is enough interest in general.

Personally I think the op running the thread should declare themselves out of the running (to avoid said shit storm) makes it more credible like most awards / competitions, to remain neutral

First we need to whittle the huge number of categories down to a manageable number.

Then we publish them and ask for nominations. We then add those to the mix and then get people to vote on the nominees

I like the idea of something a little "different" that keeps things a little more inclusive for all...possibly even allowing people to submit pics for consideration...winner could be decided by most fabs

A few categories to suggest:

- Most background clutter in a single picture

- Most longwinded profile

- Best newbie male/female/couple (must have joined no more than 3 or 6 months ago)

- Thread hijacker of the year

- Most imaginative measure (Sky remotes/Linx/Coke cans excluded)

- Most artistic pic

Am sure there are more along those lines
