This weekend i have found my new favorite, replacing the venerable long island ice tea is the Old fashioned.
2oz whisky
2 dashes angostura bitters
Tea spoon syrup or brown sugar cube
Hand full of ice
Orange peel
Tis amazing.
Curtesy of the whiskey jar in manchester which currently has a 21 year old rye as the whisky for this |

"This old fashioned is my favourite also.
The best one I've ever had was in the bar of the Waldorf hotel on the the Aldwych.
If you're ever in London treat yourself , you'll thank me after. "
Im heading to london tomorrow for christmas
I'll make it a point to go.
Think theres a trendy liquor shop in soho that might have the bitters in stock so will swing by to grab myself some too |

The hotel is just a short walk from soho.
Go through Covent Garden which looks lovely at the moment.
