I found turning 30 more difficult (mentally) than turning 40...
Turning 30 was a separation between youth and responsibility.... leaving behind my youth at 30 and all the nefarious deeds I got up to without suffering an attack of "you're supposed to be a grown up".
When my 30's came, life and it's responsibilities really hit home. Now at the age of 41 I have struck a balance..
One thing I realised at the age of 40 was that I had more years left to work than I had worked (24 worked 25 left to work), which helped me put things in perspective (and reach for the gin) |
