I do the daughterly duty of keeping my mouth shut and listening to all of my dad's exploits as an actor, the deafening loudness from the TV that he's turned up due to forgetting his hearing aids.
Then the grumblings of him being hungry even thought he's just eaten.
At least I still have the grumpy old sod in my life... Unlike my mum and other family members we've lost over the years. |

I'm fortunate that I can forget about sex when I'm enjoying myself with my family.
Also, I can leave them to do their own thing, jump on a train and spend the evening with a friend, if they are not busy.

I long ago resigned to the fact that when all the in laws and outlaws turn up for Christmas, it's gonna be chaos..
Kids off the nuts on sugar, adults off their Tits on alcohol (my flavoured vodkas usually!!) and the obligatory argument over something daft like who would win a fight outta the hulk or iron man.. 
I cook all morning, serve dinner and then relax with a drink or three and just enjoy the side show going on around me..
I turned to science to find my answer to the family Christmas woes...

First year I will be spending Christmas Day on my own, eldest is at her boyfriend's parents  youngest with her mum.. Both of them are hoping to see me next Wednesday as I am working over the Christmas period |
