Never too old to have a piercing plus it can always be taken out.
It does hurt I found having mine done was really painful, yet other people say it didnt hurt them.
It take a little bit of time to heal and it's annoying catching it in the shower or on a watch but I've kept mine in for 10 yrs |

"First am I too old 58
Does it hurt and is my nipple big enough
As Steve wants me to have it done for xmass
Sue. Xxxx"
It's hurts a little, but being as the nerves in the nipples are connected to the one in the clit it has a great effect once healed
Your nipples look great and look fine for a piercing. ..I think it would look sexy... but that's my opinion... I'd go horizontal with hoops as they are easier to clean maybe an 18 gauge. .. after care is important. You definitely want some sort of antibacterial soap to clean them with...
Clit hood is good too... those will make you cum a lot... vertical hoop... again same aftercare
Aftercare Aftercare Aftercare
You don't want an infection
Hope that helps |

And for a bit of balance.
Worse piercing I ever had done. Had them both done at the same time. They never healed. Ended up with blood poisoning in one 6 months after it was done after sea swimming. The other came out 3 months after that.

I found that it was a REALLY painful experience, and like the person above, mine never healed. I took it out after a year and the hole closed instantly.
As for a clit piercing. I had mine done recently - I wanted a vertical piercing but my good isn't deep enough so had a horizontal one.
Did absolutely nothing for new sexually. I was nervous that it would get caught during sex.
I took that out after about 6 months.
I did discover some fantastic numbing cream called Dr Numb.
Contains 5% lidocaine.
Put it on a couple of hours before your piercing and toy won't feel it.
Good luck.

"No never to old Hun x
It stings a little and takes a couple of weeks to heal (worst case)
It's well worth it Hun xx
"
No.. never too old.
Done properly, you'll have little to no pain when they do it. It will be sore for a while afterwards. DIY probably isn't the best option.
Healing can take anything from a few weeks... to a year, depending on how well you heal and how well you look after it.

I had one done about a year ago, it was so painful and I've a high pain threshold , it never healed as the guy put in a bar too small.
I will get another done as I loved the look of it, but will do more research next time into the studio I go to |

I had mine done 20 years ago. Omg it hurt like nothing else, and I am no wimp. I was advised then to keep it in for at least 6 months before changing it. I went back to the piercing studio to get it changed. I was too scared to change it myself. Must admit piercings do look good when they have healed xxxxx Suzi |

You're not too old but the important thing is that you get it done for yourself, and not on someone else's say so. Any pain would be increased if you feel reluctant about the idea and are tense.
Research local piercing studios - or even ask for recommendations here. Check out their websites, FB accounts etc and read their reviews so you can get a feel for their professionalism and aftercare. Then, when you've found a studio you like the sound of, go and talk to them about what you want, the procedure and so on. The place I've had all my piercings is brilliant ... nothing is too much trouble, while the piercing is still healing they were happy to alter bars if they felt uncomfortable. In any case, for nipples (and some other piercings like tongue) you should initially have a larger bar while the site is still swollen and a reputable piercer will then replace it free of charge.
Everybody's different - I can't say how your body will react but I've had no problem with my nipple piercings though they are typically an area which takes a long time to thoroughly heal. Yes ... no denying it hurt, and the second one was worse because of the anticipation but it's not *the* worst pain in the world. I've also found that they've increased sensitivity for me. |
