I've recently seen a few posts on FB where folk are sharing Fab members private messages as screenshots. This also includes face pics shared privately as attachments. Whilst the audience is restricted to friends, I've seen them as they have been shared on.
Is this something that's always happened as a consequence of over-sharing in a digital age, or, is this a worrying new trend? I've considered contacting the Fab users I've seen to alert them as I think it's a bit unfair personally.
How many here think this is acceptable 'crack'? |

This is very worrying. But a risk you take with everything on the net.
If you had the inclination to message those involved I would think they would be greatful..I know I would be. |

Totally not, and could come under the Revenge Porn laws
Sharing of images without a person's consent is a no-no (despite all of that Sydney University crap), but once you've shared something on the internet it's impossible to reclaim it |

Only if intimate no? Not sure if face pics fall into that category. So many grey areas nowadays and it seems near enough impossible to violate FB Community Rules. |

I wouldn't be too happy if people were to share pictures of me and my family either
Especially if they're also sharing private conversations |

It's disgusting! Some of us choose to be private for those around us, rather than ourselves. My parents are old and wouldn't be best impressed. But more worrying to me.. Is my kids. Imagine if they found out? Anyone else I can handle.
Good for you for alerting people to this. I'd certainly pull them up on it! |

Agreed. So many of us choose to keep our activity here reasonably private for very valid reasons. When sending face pics and messages, we do so with trust that the recipient will not share on. I really hope this doesn't catch on. Otherwise I for one will lose confidence in the site simply because some here have an issue with discretion. |

Yesterday there was a thread on here of men who want to share "porn pics" on kik. I have a feeling that is public pictures of
Fab users... strangely The thread has disappeared. |
