Christmas Day Matchmaking for those home alone :-)

So there will be quite a few of us home alone on Christmas Day it turns out.

For those who aren't happy spending Christmas Day alone perhaps some of us could get together?

Make it more worthwhile to cook and have someone to pull the other end of the cracker. Or go out to dine

What do you reckon?

I would offer, but I am cooking dinner for 3 x 60(+) year olds and a 90 year old.....

To all intents and purposes I am spending Christmas alone as they will be each in their own little world and asleep by 5pm.... and I will drag the wheelbarrow around the village dropping them off afterwards.....

...I don't know who is sadder, me or them, I have a feeling its me!

It could be as simple as people pairing up and agreeing to have a chat over the phone...

You needn't actually have to haul ass across country to do this...

But you never know, there may be someone nearby who'd be glad of the company.

I started to feel guilty as I was actually going to enjoy Christmas this year, so have contrived a scenario to make it as much work as possible!

Our families are in the U.S., obviously. So we'll be spending Christmas walking in Glencoe with our dogs. Anyone who fancies beautiful scenery and some exercise is welcome.

I will be alone this xmas, although a mate my pop in to escape his folks for a couple of hours.

But being honest it has never really worried me, sure its nice to have company, especially naked company.

I suppose i am used to being alone, been single for way too many years now, lol.

Sister has invited me for dinner on Christmas Day but I'm alone every other day, as usual.

A chat would be nice but dunno when I'll be home on 25th.

I've been having urges for a carvery, this week, so a dining companion would be welcome, (Thursday in Gloucestershire).

No strings or expectations - just a meal and a nice chat. Might even bring some crackers

i am thinking i could just do a buffet and have an open house for anyone on their own, no strings or expectations, just company, and maybe silly fun. i have spare room and comfy sofa for those that want to bring a bottle. even better if anyone has silly board games. if you are willing to travel then i m willing to host x

I'm a Happy Singelton with no issues or hang up and will be alone this Christmas in Mexborough South Yorkshire happy to accommodate from Christmas Eve onwards it will be nice to have a little Christmas elf or Christmas cracker over the festive period i've made sure my hot tub temperature is set to 40° So far my Christmas dinner is planned to be sausage and chips but if anybody was staying with me I'm sure we could go shopping for something more festive X
