"....as you were....fantastic show dance from Ore
A standing ovation, including Len!
Gotta be straight 10's surely?
YES! One from Craig, at last.
"
Only the second one he's given this series isn't it? |

"Can't call it between Ore and Danny. Ore slightly as he has NO dance experience, but Danny is so beautiful to watch dance."
I think he made a mistake in that final routine. But... Craig has nothing to complain about so that's good.

if it was based just on tonight.... it would have to be ore by a mile!!!"
I'm glad you stuck with it... and have judged Ore to be a worthy winner.

Would say that Karen Clifton would be less likely to avoid claims of impartiality towarrds her husband and sister-in-law |

It would, especially as she is the professional who did the first documentary thing years ago with ordinary people which led to Strictly being developed a few years later.

Think on balance he's had the best night...factor in that he's had no previous dance experience and he definitely deserves to win |

Ore to win. Although its a tough choice as love Louise and Danny. Ore has no dance or acting skills and yet he makes me believe the story he is telling.
Hope he wins |

"Aw! That tribute to Len was lovely.
I'd forgotten how long Strictly has been running. They all looked so young at the beginning "
And how much lower the budget was in the beginning.
I read something in the week that more young people tuned in to Strictly last week than to the X Factor Final. The young people were also opting for Planet Earth II instead of X Factor.

Well it looks like I'm going against popular opinion then by saying that I'd prefer Danny to win. I agree that Ore is a great dancer but I prefer to watch Danny...I think he's a more organic dancer and his passion clearly comes across more. |

This is where I think the BBC have missed a trick. They need one more it takes two so they can talk to them all properly after it has all sunk in.
It always a little rushed and unfair for the winners I think. |

Yes i agree.. the winners and runners up should deserve a bit more air time. I dont know why they have to rush it. |

Yay!! That was delightful! Beyond wonderful!! And I'm so pleased that Ore stepped it up so clearly this week -- and that he was rewarded for it -- don't think anyone can dispute he was worthy after tonight's show! Thoroughly heartwarmingly brill. |

Poor joanne was to shocked to talk and all ore can do is cry.
If they gave it time to sink in then had them on even if they did it like the results show on Sundays, I feel it would be a much better end to the series.
And the can't even cover it on the Xmas special as that was recorded weeks ago |

didn't they change the format?
I thought they used to start with 3, then have the least popular of the three drop out, leaving the final two to battle it out?
I also thought Louise and Kevin were robbed |

I hope not. That wasn't said about Louis Smith, Alesha Dixon or Mark Ramprakash. Ore was better than Ramprakash and I think I'd need to see Smith and Dixon's finals again to see how he stands up to them.

They did used to leave the final dance for the final two with one being knocked out. I don't think it would have made a difference though.

I thought it was a dead heat tbh, with Danny being consistently the best throughout what I saw of the series, & Ore being phenomenal as a non-trained dancer.
Perhaps Danny's partner should have been the difference between them ........... but I am a little biased! |

Ore,Sas the best on the night and also pulled at the heartstrings throughout. His journey taps into the aspirations of many of us, it was a completely deserved win. The fix would have been if Danny had won.
The Daily Mail wouldn't get room in in my house even if there was no bog paper |

Loved the final and so pleased that Ore won. He has worked so hard and was a total amateur, at the beginning. All of his dances were spot on, last night. I felt Louise's first two dances were lack lustre, but loved her Argentine tango. Danny is a fantastic dancer, but I felt he shouldn't win, as he has had previous training and experience, but i'm sure he will go on to do more in musical theatre. I understand Craig has already been looking at him for one of his shows, so good luck to him so what we going to do on a Saturday night now! |

It's run to four threads and I have to say I've loved exchanging views with you all on this series, without it ever degenerating into the usual Fab lunacy
Still so pleased that Ore won, think overall and on balance he was the most deserving of the title.
Roll on next years |

Yes, it's been a great thread! It's nice to chat with people with a similar interest. Will be interesting to see who replaces Len. He is very much 'old school' in the dance world. I would personally like to see Anton replace him. He's a great entertainer and I think he will be a very fair and constructive judge. |

Saturday (and Thursday Apprentice) won't be the same... and then something else will come along and before you know it we're back to Strictly.
Thanks for the camaraderie. |

I think Anton may like the dancing too much to give it up, best suggestion I've seen has been Karen Hardy who passes comment on Strictly Take Two...always very fair and impartial |

Yes, she would also be a good choice. I see Anton's wife /partner is expecting twins! This may change his career path |

That's exactly how I saw it, danny had that something extra where you actually look like you do it for a living but I'd give it to ore as he's come as a complete novice and there was only a gnats whisker between them |
