At how particularly daft I can be! IKEA delivery today containing one sons Christmas present to find I've ordered two! So now both having the same, not a problem but faced with two lots of flat pack to assemble with "help". Think I better have a box of quality street on stand by!

Not sure two nearly 7 year olds equals help! But after doing bunk beds on my own, think it will be easier although possibly more stressful!

Scream at the kids, then apologise to them by giving them sweets

"The Allen name is a registered trademark, originated by the Allen Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut"

Well that was boring. I was hoping to be a much more interesting reason. Well maybe not. I bet a bloke called Phillip didn't invent a screw head either.

Anyway... the secret to flat pack... an electric screwdriver with an allen key bit. Speeds things up immensely. Especially if you have an impact driver like I do and you can pretend you are actually a formula 1 pit crew. lol

I'll let you know how "fun" it is! Hahaha! I've no idea why they are called Allen keys either. But I'm pretty sure I'll want to punch "Allen" but the time I'm done!

Nothing weird about that, there's a peculiar satisfaction to putting them together, unless of course the instructions are in Chinese!!

I actually quite enjoy it too. The bunk beds broke me but I did do it on my own plus room emptying etc. The husbamd nearly got punched that time! (I sound like I'm quite violent, but I'm not really! Lol)
