Flash is going to see it Thursday at 9am, I have to wait till after Xmas to see it with subtitles.
We are looking forward to it, Flash just hopes that it doesn't have major plot holes which would make the movie pointless, but saying that it wont be able to compete with Force Awakens cause its just a side story but still expect it to be a great movie anyway

The Force Awakens tried too hard to be a new 'A New Hope', I am looking forward to this having a separate story arc. |

I'm taking my 10 year old daughter and her best friend on Friday. He thinks it's a date because they aren't sitting with me.
Anyhow it should be fun. I saw the trailer when I went to see Fantastic Beasts and it looks rather good. |

I had booked the Friday off work for it back before they announced the UK was getting it earlier on the Wednesday night, so no midnight release or suiting up as a stormtrooper for me (yeah, I'm that nerd)

Going Friday night to see R1.... Love how SW is doing the strong female lead thing, but sad to say im not hyped up, because episode 7 was episode 4 and in all honesty was not as great as many thought it was initially. I wont even mention episode 1, 2 and 3, although must admit, jar jar didnt get on my nerves as he did many others and although they are weak, they arent terrible.
Point is, im not hyped up as this will be the fifth film following the original trilogy and probably wont live up to it. That being said, i am very keen to understand how mon mothmas' sad statement about many bothan spies died to get these plans came about. Ps. thats not a spoiler its a quote (as i remember it) from 1977 so dont flame me!

Yes. Supposedly the models are what makes this disney owned batch of movies so good. And cgi is just a part of life now. |

There was one of the Rouge one actors on Chris Evans BBC radio 2 show this morning talking about the film. It is getting many good reviews. I'm looking forward to seeing it. |

I don't agree , I think it tried hard to improve upon a new hope and succeeded the worst thing about both films was luke skywalker xx

I think Awakens gave Star Wars fans exactly what they wanted. Maybe the plot was similar to New Hope but why not. It reached out to all those kids who have grown up with Star Wars and it took them back. JJ knew exactly what he was doing and he f@&big nailed it.
If R1 is half as good it will be bloody brilliant. |

Thinking of going to see it on Monday as I have my son this weekend and he's not really into Star Wars.
Took him to see Episode VII last year but he found it just a little bit too long.
