The longer we spend on this site the more we begin to recognise suspicious signs.
How much trust can we put in verified photos? Are they checked by a human or some kind of face recognition software?
Should we trust verified by meeting if they have not published the verifications?
Have you uncovered a convincing, fake verified profile?
Are there any statistics on the amount of fake profiles?
What tips and advice can you give?
What stories do you have on this subject?

The only golden rule for me is to trust my gut instinct with the expression, "if it seems too good to be true, it often is"
Some people in the past have suggested, asking for phone numbers, then to go on cam, or meets socially as fool prove methods to find fakes, but I've been on fab for around 5 years never once have I have out my number, cammed or met for a social, but when I'm free I go to clubs and meet people at my home, theirs, hotel etc.
The fact is there's no fool proof method if someone wants to screw you around and waste your time they will, if they want to meet you they will |

All photo verification is supposed to show is that the profile has chosen the correct sex. It's not to prove they're the person in their photos. So it's virtually pointless for a single male profile, because women and couples don't tend to pretend to be men.
I've been meet verified by men I'd never spoken to, never mind met, who'd done it as a way of trying to get my attention.
People put far too much faith in the verification system on here. |

Oh, and I don't tend to talk on Kik, give out my phone number, will never ever go on cam, and never display verifications. Faker than fake - but people can tell I'm not by just talking to me. Fake female profiles stand out a mile once they start messaging. |

Download a programme called TinEye it can review billions of online images and if they are nicked from another site then they will identified. |

To show they are 'real' meet verification from other meet verified members is the best gauge. Doesn't mean they are right for you, just that they were right for the people they met.
Obviously if they are new, it gets trickier. |

A PV photo is just to prove the gender of the profile holder, not what they look like. It doesn't have to be a face pic, it can be a full nude body.
I have had someone veri me that I had never meet, also had guys ask for a veri after a few messages. When I told them to go on cam and I would they went silent. |

Thanks guys.
We do use kik mainly to put the other person at ease without having to give out phoe numbers we can have a group chat and exchange photos to prove we are a genuine couple. Maybe doing random stuff as suggested.
We are chatting to someone who is meet verified but isnt displaying veris and isn't forthcoming with extra photos to prove genuine. Putting us off with "I've not got any photos on my phone. I'll get back to you"

We too are sick to death of fake people it seems like 10 to 1 fake on here, 3 times this week and its only Tuesdays but at the same time it could be what looks fake one partner liking then the other partner looking later and saying no and deletes or blocks making it look fake, i guess theres no real way of blocking fake before they even start, at the end of the day the site will make money.

If you're unsure ask them to write a word of your choosing with the days date and send a picture of themselves to you. If they're genuine it shouldn't be a problem |

I have no faith in the verification system and have been on the receiving end of fakes who have gone as far as to steal my pics. They have been verified by meet but never displayed their verification.
I'm ultra careful now. I have used kik in the past and asked people to take a 'live' picture with nothing from their gallery but it becomes pretty time consuming. Having them go on cam is another option. Personally I now only tend to meet in clubs to avoid the issues I have faced in the past but even then I've had people turning up who have clearly uploaded pics from years ago. It's always a gamble...x |

I think its the same problems in the online dating world. People going to extreme ends to fake a profile. Sad individuals with little or no life or maybe kids playing games.
We like to do things in style. Nice hotel. Make an evening of it. Luckily no fake has cost us money yet. This would be the ultimate annoyance and would likely put us off the current approach for life. |

As always the minority ruin it for the majority. I'm glad you haven't incurred any loss. A nice hotel and an evening of whatever floats your boat is always going to be a more attractive offer than fucking on a grotty plastic mattress in a swinging club x |

My thoughts precisely. Although the female half of this duo is unashamedly partial to a touch of sleeze.
The beauty of being a couple is if you ever are stood up you will always have the best company you could wish for.
I couldn't think of anything worse than sitting alone in a hotel room hoping they've been stuck in traffic for 2 hours and their phone battery died |
