Last time I went was about 1971 or 1972 as a kid. I remember the wonderful throaty sounds of various Nortons and Triumphs then this horrific whine of Japanese bikes |

Now that's spooky. This was the last thread I viewed before going to the BBC website and there on the newflash ticker was the latest news that Irishman Derek Brien has been killed at the I.o.M TT, the third death this year so far 
I can't help thinking that this pointless endeavour should be scrapped if it's claiming so many lives each year. |
