Is it me, or are there too many Santas about this year? I was outnumbered in my local market town last Saturday. Surely most of them must be fakes in cheap costumes? They are patently too skinny too. Whatever happened to the Grotto...

They should be rounded up and confined to one of those 'Christmas Wonderlands' in a muddy field somewhere in Norfolk...

I blame charity Santa Runs. One I saw was in a red posing pouch. It was traumatic enough for me, never mind all the little children who might still believe...bring back twinkling rosy-faced rotundity!
