Sometimes you just can't help fix stupid.
We keep chickens at home and are members of several faceache groups for poultry keepers. A couple of days ago defra imposed new rules and restrictions around how poultry is kept and housed due to the risk of a very virulent strain of avian flu which is spreading across Europe and has many new cases in northern France. On some of these faceache groups there are quite a lot of people who are vociferous in saying that they think it's stupid and scaremongering and are not going to comply. All this despite the threat of £5000 fine and 3 months in prison. Not to mention the slaughtering of every single bird within a one mile radius if they get the infection.
Aaaargh! Why are some idiots so pig headed and stupid? Bury their head in the sand, it won't happen to me attitude........until it does and they are responsible for wiping out the livelihood of the poultry farmer down the road and for killing little Jonny's ex battery pets  |
