Depends... The uniform is a symbol, for some, using that symbol in a way to garner favour would upset some. However it is your profile; if you are defining yourself by your photos (which, lets face it, we all are in a way), then you are defining yourself as someone in the armed forces. If that's what is important to you, and that is what is important to those you meet, then sobeit.
Personally? I think uniform pics of any type are best used on "dating" sites, (and yes, I concede that some people on Fab use this site as a dating site), as they tell a respective long-term partner about what you are, and they will make a decision on a long-term commitment based upon that (due to you being posted etc.)
If you are using the uniform to "impress" to get a quick fuck, well its a bit cheesy and to some offensive, but if it works for you, why care what I or others think? |

I am not using it for anything they are pictures of me. I am not a vein man that takes endless selfies like some sort of teenager. I also think that before someone calls them "tacky" they should have a look at thier own puctures. So on this site its one rule for the men and another for the women. |

That's fab for you! I wear a uniform but I would never post pics of me on here wearing it as personally, I find it unprofessional. Anyone can post what pics they like as long as they are within the site rules. |

People get offended by all sorts. It's up to you how you portray yourself and act. But it's up to others to react how they wish. Whilst very often my behaviour can influence another's...it won't always mean I get what I want.
Personally I think you're foolish in a day and age where national security is at a severe state, that you choose to tout yourself as HM Forces. Just an opinion. |

See, I don't get this, you ask for opinions, and people give them, some say they are tacky, that's their opinion, they aren't "attacking" you but merely responding to your question and then you have a pop at them....

you are right, it isnt against the law. it isnt against the law for a police officer either but law and reputational damage are 2 different issues and the latter is quite often what will be cited in dismissal letters.
having face pics with no link to your work is fine, no one can link the 2 together. I have face pics on here but i dont go about telling people where i work |

No it isn't any worse that Facebook but the armed forces are always being briefed about the security risks of social media and to keep the fact that you are military away from such sites. |

I don't find it offensive, but I think you're a bit of an idiot for putting them on your profile.
The tabloids love to expose someone in the forces or similar jobs based on their photographs and membership of sex sites. It probably wouldn't be hard to identify who you are.
Fairly sure that your employers wouldn't be best pleased that the pictures are on here.
Plus if you got captured in the desert then your captors might not look kindly on the fact you're on sex sites. |

I'm not offended by it but I think it's very unprofessional and while not illegal it could break dignity at work clauses by bringing the reputation of their career/profession into disrepute. There was a big nationally publicised case recently (I believe it was about a police officer) where they were struck off for that very reason |

No it's not against the law but yes it can be more than a security risk should someone decide to use it against you for any reason.
I have known military personnel get into trouble with their command for posting pics in their uniform on sites such as this as it could be seen as bringing the uniform and service into disrepute.
Personally I hate any military pictures on this site as I feel that people use the uniform (and any other uniforms) to try to gain sex and that I think is wrong but that's my personal opinion. |

I fully support our armed forces, and being from a military family & knowing the risks that are there even in civvies, I just wouldn't post any uniform pics.
Once you're talking to someone you can let them know that you're a serviceman but otherwise for your own safety & wellbeing I would remove them sweet X |

People can be offended by all sorts of different things, saying they are a waste of skin is a little extreme. I'm sure some things in life offend you but not others but do they consider you a waste of skin? Probably not. |
