RIP Greg Lake

the year almost ends and we loose another star,

Greg Lake was so much more than a chap who wrote one of the best ever Christmas songs ever

his career spanned amazing bands such as King Crimson and ELP. Fusing rock with classical music , one of the originators of Prog Rock

a sad loss

ps

I believe in Father Christmas , with parts from one of my favourite pieces of classical music Troika from Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kijé Suite,

Has gone to join the show that never ends. Sad loss of a giant of the genre

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I ended up posting this in Scotland as I couldn't find a lounge thread...

I liked his response to a letter in The Guardian about Christmas songs. He urged us all to request "I Believe in Father Christmas" so that he could afford his own island... and invite us all to join him there.

"Shame. We all die. Some sooner , some later. "

It is a certainty.
