Going to this one in a couple of weeks, not been for a few years but it's by far the best one I've been too. Trying to convince the other half to take me to Germany next year...

Was going to include a romantic stroll down the Reeperbahn too, so all will not be lost.

Struggled with the ridiculous crowds in Birmingham a couple of years ago. It's put us off going again in all honesty.

Sir Geoffrey Boycott used to play cricket as an opening batsman for Yorkshire and England. Headingley is a Test Match cricket ground in Leeds which is in Yorkshire. Henning Wehn is a German comedian (yes they do exist) who is based in England

Haha it was my first time, so I kind of liked the experience. Won't be going again, just wanted to see what it was like. Easily get tipsy ha

What constitutes a Germanic market place? Will we still have such spectacular events in the likes of Leeds after Brexit?

I passed a similarly named settlement in Manchester the other day and it seemed to me that it was a lot of garden sheds from which local folk were selling beer, cheese and large sausages. Having worked and lived in Bavaria there is nothing remotely Germanic about these gatherings.
