I'd much rather not have to waste two days holiday most years

With how it works I'd probably get somewhere in the region of 36 hours for going to work on Christmas Day....gutted I can't

I don't celebrate it for religious reasons. I celebrate it as an opportunity to reconnect with family an friends.

Its more about good will, family, friends and good food to me.

I am Jewish and I always celebrate it with friends (some of which are Muslim, Atheist and Christian).

We just enjoy it as a time to enjoy

Meh.... I don't really care about Christmas - I'm not religious, I don't believe in Father Christmas and I don't have children or close family.

All that happens is it highlights all the things I don't have

I'm an Atheist who doesn't celebrate Christmas. I would consider myself a hypocrite to do so.

That said, I do make sure that my children get the Christmas experience when they are with me as I don't want them to miss out - I don't force my beliefs on them

Are the church jumping on the Christmas band wagon now? Typical opportunists.

They should leave it to what it's all about :- buying tons of shit , drinking too much and stuffing your face with food.

God bless Santa

It's a pagan ritual that predates Christianity.....

A better question would be should religious people even be on a swinging site if its against their own beliefs?

Yes! Though it's not christ-mas to us, it's xmas or santa day

I personally prefer the Icelandic yuletide lads story, 13 of them!

You don't have to be religious to believe in santa, mulled wine, pressies and mince pies!

A better question might be why Christians seem to believe that their saviour was born on that particular day.

I celebrate Christmas but only for the reruns of Only Fools and Horses.

"You don't have to be religious to believe in santa, mulled wine, pressies and mince pies!"

It was a pagan feast day and a Roman one, as well as the knee benders muscling in. We like to celebrate them all in two alcohol soaked, mince pie stuffing days of commercialism, fake sentimentality and ridiculous presents.

Do non-Muslims celebrate Eid? Of course not! Therefore none but Christians have any right to celebrate Christmas! Everyone else ought to be at work earning money like normal people! Christmas is so bad for the global economy with people just lying around eating and drinking too much. Go back to work and stop celebrating someone else's party! Bloomin lazy gate-crashers!!!!

When you consider that Christmas is a composition of many winter festivities, not just the birth of a boy that people got a little carried away with.

Not all Christians celebrate Christmas.

Some Muslims do! And to be fair if I was mr Kahn who owns the off license, id be dancing a merry jig at the prospect of not only the sound of sleigh bells being drowned out by the sound of my till, but my religion allowing me to open the shop on the 25th to sell batteries to frustrated parents, and presents for that uncle who you didn't think would turn up.

Its The mooost wonderful time, of the year lil

Well that movie is about as factually accurate and relevant to humankind as the bible, so maybe!

If they want to. I do celebrate it as a religious festival as well as the Santa stuff, and there's always a variety of people at church at that time of year who have come along just because they want to.

Why not Xmas has nothing to do with religion any more..... you might as well celebrate coca cola day as they supplied the image that we mostly associate with Santa

There's a part of that film where his followers start to divide into two groups, as they have different interpretation of events during the chase, its funny in the film, but makes you think
