Attended our daughters nativity play yesterday, she was playing the Inn Keeper, her line was meant to be "sorry we have no room at the inn, but you can stay in the stable". Now she had been practicing her lines for the past couple of weeks, but me being the sarcastic sort kept saying, we're full cause it's Christmas, you should have booked early.
So, curtain up, play going as expected for children between the ages of 6 - 9, adorable yes and funny at times, big moment, Mary and Joseph approach our daughter, its quiet, and little miss shouts out, "It's Christmas, you should have booked early!"
The whole hall erupted in laughter, I got the look only a wife could give when she wants to kill you, the laughter was still going on after the play had finished, I think this years nativity will be remembered for that one moment.
It made my day, so proud |

Awww that's funny.
I remember one fraught nativity performance where the 3 Kings started bundling each (on the way upto the crib) to carry the Gold, with one of them shouting "I don't want to give him the Frankenstein"...

I remember watching a video of a nativity a few years ago.
Joseph enters stage left, Mary gets stage fright, forgets her lines and ad libs.
"I'm glad your home, Jesus has been a little sod all day".
And the room erupts........ |
