some people have been here since time began and have a large input on the forum - its easier to say goodbye to all on one thread and then go - not really making a fuss if they do that - doesnt bother me |

I don't worry or wonder why folk start threads ... If it makes them happy ...
Likewise if the thread doesn't interest me I move on...
If it causes you stress or angst ...don't read them..

May be some people on here just need reassurance that they are doing the right thing or maybe they have low self esteem?
Most probably though some people on here who live in the Forums 24/7 and feel the need to post every stupid, mundane and unimportant detail of their life in the hope of getting someone to like, comment on or be impressed by what their life entails, need to get a grip. When you are gone, nobody cares, save the effort. Seriously! Just hit delete and leave. |

When I leave the site, I'll slip out like a fucking ninja, no one will know I was ever here.
It's what I did with the last adult site I was a member of. I was there for 10 years, built up a decent blog following, then one day I just didn't exist anymore |

Nobody is irreplaceable on the forums. Even the popular ones may get a thread about how sad people are, then are no longer thought of a few days later, except for the odd comment here and there. Some like to think they are invaluable to the forum community, but there's always someone to take their place. I personally don't mind if someone does a countdown, no harm at all. Though I'd prefer to leave quietly myself |
