A reply is always great. A delete lets you know where you stand. It is when they have been let as read! Not that I would get huffy and puffy like it seems others do! |

I personally get loads of replys im just interested in the general feeling about it and always check out verifications find it stops loads of the bs on here |

Do you craft a bespoke message, tailored to the individual/couple that you are messaging based on their profile, OP? If you do, and that doesn't get you a reply you just have to accept you aren't for them and move on.
Some folk may recieve literally hundreds of messages a day on here, and even if you have created a masterpiece that will titillate and wow the reader, you may be unlucky and just get deleted in bulk without being opened. It happens.
My advice to you is, don't take it personally. If you do, this may not be the place you you if you can't take a knock-back. Perseverance and patience are needed |

It would depend if the person messaging me has been polite enough to read my profile first.
A lot don't so no, in those cases I don't think it's rude to not answer their messages. |

If they have put the time into reading my profile.. or a detailed message then yes I will always reply....if they havnt been bothered to then no I won't..

I'd rather it was deleted if they're not interested than see I've got a message, get my hopes up and then see it's a no thanks. Waste of their time writing it and waste of my time reading it |

It's always nice to get a "no thanks" but it's never expected. I just trust that if there's any interest then whoever I'm messaging will respond.
That said, I can't believe some of the stories of verbal abuse and knob heads that I read. There's a damned good reason why people don't send a "no thanks".

Familiarise yourself with the FAQ's OP.
It very clearly states that some users are so overwhelmed with messages that they simply do not have the time to reply and that you should take a non-reply as a 'no thanks'
Some users have found that when they have responded with a 'no thanks' or similar, they then find the sender of the original message to them either gets abusive, or makes an attempt to change their mind, or ask questions about why - in other words, demonstrates a complete lack of respect of the decision to decline.
And let's face it, how much happier would you be with an inbox full of 'no thanks'?

I think maybe iv had 3 replys and no one has ever messaged me 1st. Which is fine as i am not everyone (apparently no ones  ) cup of tea. What i do find a bit annoying and odd is when a message goes unopened and deleted right away. |

If I am not interested I never reply, saves any future hassle.
If they have put a lot of effort into their messages, then yes I will.
The one's that say 'Oh you are so close' for example

Think you have to see it from the ladies point of view. Imagine getting hundreds of messages and practically all the same, you surely can't spend all day going through them.
When mine get deleted, move on, don't take it personal.
Btw, any guy getting nasty because of this, needs an outright ban.
If you bo get a reply and its a no thankyou, thank them, and move on.

I'd prefer a reply but there's no need really. Once I see a message is deleted then I get the hint. 
I understand that lots of users are inundated with messages and that even a negative reply can result in further unwanted correspondence. |

What's odd about it? Most people will look at your profile before they read your message. If they don't like your profile (for whatever reason) then it's unlikely anything in your message is likely to make a difference. |

I posted something similar earlier I was trying to reply to all messages (only been in here s week) but I was getting abuse for being online and not having responded yet (because I was responding to other messages) & then people not taking no for an answer wanting reasons why, totally ignoring our profile and what we want etc & not liking me saying we aren't a good match, some people message 10x in as many minutes just with ?? They obviously get deleted but that annoyed them more
