Do you maybe mean brine? Like tuna in brine.
Or Braun, like Eva Braun, Or the shaver people.

I thought it had always been Braun as in brown...but that might be because I had a German teacher called Herr Braun |

The shaver company, being originally German, will have pronounced it "brown" as that's the German pronunciation of the word.
However, English advertising has always (at least in my lifetime) used the "brawn" pronunciation.
It may be that as we're now more globalised, we're only getting one advertising agency's view, which is a) consistent

I like the word Brawn... In my head it's a solid and muscular guy. I would also pronounce the razor the same way... Brawn.
I don't like the jelly stuff you get around meet which I think is also called brawn.
