For an alternative Christmas song, listen to Xmas/Brooklyn by a man called Jesse Malin. For a classic carol/hymn Oh Holy Night covered by lots of artists but Mariah Carey's version is great. |

Chris rhea driving home for Christmas
When we was younger my dad worked away a lot promised us kids he'd be home for Christmas but traffic was horrendous, he pulled at a truck stop to phone us to say good night and we were upset he was my back yet so he sang it down the phone to us till we fell asleep then drove all night and made it home just before we woke up to open presents he was shattered but stayed up and spent the whole day with us.
So I always get emotional to that song thinking of my Dad and that Christmas |
