Have you visited your GP? I think it's really important for you to get it checked out. Hope it goes well for you

No, it was such a clean cut and l hate needles. l just used paper stitches.

From what l've read, it could take years...if ever... to feel my pinky. lt was my favourite finger too

Nerves will reattach. This can take a while though. I had a major op where they cut through many many nerves. I was numb in my stomach for about 5-6 months. I have most feeling back now though.

See a Dr!

Why do people think that it's a good idea to seek medical advice from a swingers forum?

lt's totally healed on the outside.

The way l saw it was that they wouldn't even consider surgery on such a superficial nerve.

I have nerve damage in my leg and foot resulting in permanent numbness. It wont improve now.

Go and see your GP but in general if it hasn't improved in 18 months it might not.

Mine was from a Cpm 4v blade blank that l was working/sharpening as a project. They say that a dull edge gives a worse cut...l disagree!

Yes. I got in a fight years ago and the wimp pulled a knife cut through the nervous in my thumb. It did take years to sort out because I was as daft as you and didn't see a dr. 1st it was numb then felt like tingley electric when touched but eventually went back to normal

Not much modern science can do at present with nerves anyway. Perhaps one day.

You should really get it checked out dude. I've got pretty bad femoral nerve damaged in both legs after a nasty pelvis break, led to several months with frame screwed into me. The advice I was given is that if you have any feeling at all in the body part then the nerve is still live. This will repair itself and change will be noticable in a few weeks to a few months, but it may never get back to as was. For example, I can't carry keys in my left front pocket as it feels like I'm being stabbed. However if you have zero feeling it is likely that the damaged has been too much and it is unlikely you will regain feeling. But you must get it checked outhe as you never know.

I've had three c sections and the whole area around my where I've been cut is numb, you can stick needles around my lower stomach and I can't feel it, last one I had was nearly 16 year ago and it still dead in that area

l meant that the wound was healed, not the nerve.
