Does anyone do this for their little ones?
One of my friends is doing it again for her daughter...
Except... The girl is 9 and still believes.... I find that odd!
It's cute for little ones.
And I love the alternative version on internet.
Xmas has gone weird...

So far 1st December Fifi put up the xmas decs but got into a tinsel tangle in the tree. Today she coerced the girls favourite teddies to slide down the banister with her and tomorrow she's arranged an afternoon crafting to make xmas cards for close family members |

I've never felt the need to buy into this with kids. Neither of mine have said they don't believe but i assume they don't (at 8 and 13) but we all enjoy keeping up our own Christmas traditions. I think it's lovely not weird. |

"Still think it's odd for a nine year old to believe it!
I don't necessarily think it's about believing, just about having a bit of fun with the kids making memories "
She totally believes it's real tho... |

"First year I'm doing it as my twins are now 3 and their little faces each morning have been amazing absolutely worth the months it's took me to organise/plan Fifi fiddlesticks xmas antics "
That's the nice part....

And what's so wrong I. Her keeping the innocence of believing for a but longer there's so much pressure nowadays for kids to grow up too quickly I think it's nice she still believes. I was 11 before I stopped believing in santa and it's. Only because my parents sat me down to tell be the truth as I was getting older and starting grammar school so they thought it was appropriate for me to know |

If your child has an elsa doll. Put elf in a cup of water and freeze overnight . Then get the elf /ice out , position on the side and position elsa so she looks like she's frozen him |

I don't get why you think it's so odd, mine are aged between 7 and 13 and I have no idea if they still believe or not. I will never ask or raise the subject with them and will continue to make Christmas as magical for them as possible. Several people think I should have had the conversation with them when they started high school but there is no way I could have done that. |

Yep same here. ...It's kinda like i know they don't believe. ...they know i know they don't believe but between us we still keep the magic because it's nice to believe in something magical even if you don't really. ....i did the same with my mum. |

So basically it's a game that tells kids they only need to be good in December otherwise the elf is going to be a grass and tell santa not to bring them any presents???
What happens in the other 11 months can the child be a naughty sod lol.

On a similarish theme there are some great Sylvanian family themed twitter accounts. A bit more 'grown up' |

No it's a game where you have some semblance of control over the little darlings for a month before natural order is resumed and they have you running around at their beck and call. |

I paid 32 quid for my elf last year (my daughter was 6) first night I put him in the tub of Cadbury hero's with some empty packets round him, my daughter came down in the morning and I showed her what the elf had been up to and she freaked out, she was like oh my god get rid of it mammy!
I sold him on eBay then so not doing it this year!
I am doing a Christmas Eve box though this year. Got a nice personalised wooden box with a magic key and reindeer food a plate for santas mince pie and carrots for reindeer, personalised letter from Santa, jolly christmas postman book, pyjamas and slippers, miracle on 34th street DVD, stocking and some munchy treats. |

What a novel idea, I have a little girl figurine in my bathroom along with a mother. And when my daughter was younger and annoyed with me I would find the girl figurine either facing away or on the opposite side of the shelf. I always moved her back next to the mother. It was a great ice breaker for a moody teen. X |
