I'm trying to be healthier after having been told my blood pressure was way too high and have been making smoothies to get more fruit and veg in me.
Has anyone got any smoothie recipes that they've tried and tested?
Yes, I have googled some, I just want to know of one's that people have made which they would recommend |

I have one every morning as soon as I wake up.
A banana, a handful of frozen blueberries, ginger and a scoop of unflavoured protien with skimmed milk.
Check out the frozen fruit at the supermarket. It's much, much cheaper and suprisingly is often alot better quality than the fresh stuff. |

"Anything with blueberries is always good. Good for cholesterol as well. Kiwi and blueberry "
I have blueberries, usually have them with porridge in the morning but I will add them to a smoothie. Thanks |

I have one with a handful of kale, a banana, half an avocado and a glass of orange juice. |

I generally avoid fruit juice as there's a startling amount of sugar in it, hence the skimmed milk. Though also have a shake post gym and have a point of semi skimmed in that for the fat. |

I try to do at least half vegetables, to avoid too much sugar. I like spinach, 1/2 a green apple, pear, lime and root ginger but that's more of a juice than a smoothie. |

I really love the finger hot first thing in the morning. Wakes me up nicely.
It's a pain though as have to chop it up first or it gets all stringy and wraps around the blade of the blender. |

That did make me laugh |

Tescos do frozen smoothie bags like summer fruits or winter berries. I use a handful of them with a splash of milk and fat free yoghurt to thicken them up |

Stupid autocorrect!
Sometimes it knows what I mean to say better than I do.
Can't beat finger to wake you up! |
