Fear of the chatrooms!

So, I've been lucky enough to have a few correspondences with some ladies who absoultely won't go in chat.
My issue is; I don't send or have face pics on here as I'm a dirty cheat and feel weird doing selfies. I generally have my face on cam in chat (also well aware anyone can screen grab).
I understand chat isn't for everyone and can be a daunting, perverted sometimes nasty place, however I've got loads of lovely friends on there and never demand them to cam up, just pop on for a minute and see if I suit their fancy.
I generally get asked for a face pic and responding be saying well I'm on cam right, if you want to see often comes back with a point blank refusal.
Am I being too paraoid? What to do? Skype?

Either attach a face picture to a message and use the option to delete once read or delete it from your gallery and it will disappear their end. Or accept that if both of you are unable or unwilling to agree on something at the start of your communication you're clearly not compatible. |

I do, it's just a solid case of 'I don't do chatrooms', dick cams and constant pleading for nipples must have left them traumatised |

could be that i suppose, i used to have an aversion to going on cam after a few goes on here (same for going off site onto kik or whatsapp), but eventually i learned that not all guys wanna show you their dick and do just wanna chat.
i don't really have any other advice then, good job others left some.  |

I absolutely won't do cams on here, I only access Fab on my mobile. I have never used Skype and will not do so just for someone off here. I don't use messaging apps such as kik or whatsapp. All contact/messages are through the system here and I do require a face pic pretty early on - I want to know who I'm talking to. I will eventually give my number out to selected people on here if we have met a few times and plan on doing so again.
If my way of doing things doesn't suit the other person then I will just go on my merry way and you can do the same. Let's face it, there is hardly a shortage of single men on here so it won't take long to find someone who is happy to communicate in the same way i am. |

The chat room can be like clubs, loads of guys with their cocks out.
If you have one bad experience in a club it doesn't mean you'll always have one, you just have to get used to the numbers game and stand out I guess. Each to their own though, I'm just curious about people's opinions. Cheers! |

Each to their own. I shouldn't be here either. I have private pics. Private verifications. I go on cam very very rarely. I like just perving and having a laugh. I hate sending face pics. I do the site supporter thing and delete after seen. I can't meet for personal reasons. I like to get a feeling of 'something!' whilst chatting on here. |

I've used chat rooms for years, started way back in the days of o2 chat via wap on my phone. The chat rooms here really aren't much different to chat rooms anywhere else, it's just that here you may see nudity or more. Once you get used to how quick the chat can move it can be lots of fun. Yes there can be a lot of men wanking, doesn't mean you have to watch! Unfortunately though, it does put a lot of people off.
The chat rooms here are like the forums, a great way of meeting people and building up a circle of friends on the scene. Also, like the forums, it's not for everyone. The great thing about fab is that we can all use it in the way that works for us. |

Im thinking that maybe the ladies would want to photo of you so they can remember the conversation and whether they fancied you or not. I have a great memory for faces and usually remember if a guy has chatted briefly to me, even if it was years ago so I can only assume they want a mental record of what you look like. But a bit weird that they wont chat without it. I would opt for adding you onto my hotlist .. im sure to remember you with or without a face pic |

I understand that from both sides. I can tell if I've spoken though to someone previously. Even if it's on another profile of mine or theirs. |

I definitely prefer to see the face of who i am chatting to although can't remember their faces after few messages. Always confused which one is which lol

I understand woman's reluctance to cam up on chat and the amount of messages they have to sift through. But I still don't get the refusal to go on for a minute just to see the guys face they're potentially interested in. Maybe it does just come down to having a record of them for future reference? Blind date's sound fun... |
