.. a Blue Peter advent crown out of a couple of coat hangers and some tinsel?
And you were meant to put candles on them too and hang them from the ceiling!
Health & safety nightmare! imagine trying to get away with making THAT on kiddies tv these days!
I wonder how many minor / catastrophic house fires resulted from those bad boys!!
Anyway - what other festive thingies did you make as a kiddie?  |

Especially when most ceilings were covered in those Styrofoam squares

Never did the Blue Peter thing, although think they did one for years...wonder if they do a more safety conscious one these days.
Only thing I can remember making was the paper chains...endless hours of licking the gluey bit of the paper (probably a health hazard in itself) and seeing who could make there's the longest!! |

They're probably not allowed to even say the C word in case someone gets offended... "Lets turn on the winter holiday led light off eBay from China" doesn't have the same fond memories somehow...

Baubles for the Christmas tree made out of polyester balls and covered in velvet and sequins
They are still used to this day though some are missing a few sequins  |
