...but mainly trains.
I've made my way to the train station for my daily commute and so I can stand on the platform in the cold and wait for trains that are delayed and/ or cancelled by leaves, trespassers, damaged overhead wiring, track debris , missing staff, sick staff, nut allergies, low flying geese, an alien invasion just outside Wolverhampton and Brexit.
Please feel free to add a reason/ excuse below. I'm sure they are all equally as plausible in the London Midland universe. |

do love those who dont understand the whole leaves on the line thing .the leaves fall onto the track and are compacted by the train into a paste along the top of the rail and on the tyre of the train this paste becomes more and more compacted untill it resembles something close to teflon . this causes several problems first the train is now trying to either slowdown or restart on what effectivley black ice resulting in eith er skidding or train sliping to a halt . next the caotin prevent metal to meatl contact between the track & the wheels causing track citcuits to fail giving gfalse clear indications to the signaling system all of which are a danger to you the traveling public having been in the cab of a train where this and the wheels have " picked up " and have helplessly slipped through a staion its a pretty scarey experiance . next someone will ask why this didnt used to happen older trains had clasp brakes that rubbed on the face of the wheel clearing the paste off new trains do not have this as they have disc brakes so they can break later and stop quicker also braodleaf trees were cut down bt track gangs but nimbys donr like this as they no longer wish to see or hear those nasty dirty trains but they will moan like hell when there 7.15 to sidcup is late / cancelled ! ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

Appreciate and understand why we have the Leaf Fall Timetable. I was being flippant.
Every day this week my train has been delayed (yesterday by an hour) for one reason or another. Today's has been cancelled.
So forgive my flippancy? |

"Electrical problems"
"Driver didn't turn up"
"Strikes"
I've had times where they haven't even said it was cancelled. It just didn't turn up.
List goes on. I hate not being able to drive.
The train seems to be cancelled more often that it's on
