Hover packed up so, as I'm a practicle lady I got tool kit out and decided to strip it down. RANTS why can't you get inside modern hovers Have unscrewed every bloody screw and still can't get the back off. Is it a conspiricy to make us buy more shoddy electrical goods. gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Totally agree getting inside to sort a repair is the worst bit.

Had that with a new tumble drier

Petrol mower was a lot easier yesterday.

If you want to know a decent make pm me - not sure im allowed to say a make on here.

Because after you remove all the screws, the plastic mouldings are then held together by numerous internal plastic clips and you have to know where they are in order to release them ....

Even if you do get it open, chances are that you won't be able to do Jack Shit with it - even hoovers are packed with electronics nowadays which are not user serviceable

Hover now going in bin. Not worth taking it to be repaired as they will charge £75 just to tell me they can't repair the damn thing or that it will cost more to mend than to buy a new one gggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

You must have a very devout Christian Hoover that has lead a sin free life.

Rejoice that it has gone to suck up angel dust around Big J's slippers.

Buy a Dyson, they suck very well indeed and if my memory serves me right, you register online and get a 2yr g/tee.

Even if you had got the back off there would be nothing in there, because it's soul is now sitting at the right hand of god. Small "g" deliberate

Yeah, the shitty Torx bolts are there for a reason. I promise you there is very little inside that the average joe will be able to fix. (Not for one moment suggesting you're anything close to the average joe of course!)

Dysons are ace - just bought the baby one last week - ok the bin is small, but you can carry it up the stairs while you use it. Oh and it's a 5 year guarantee...

there is a great website (not sure if i cna name it, that shows you with photos. diagrams, and sources for parts on how to repair most dyson vacs, you will need a T15 driver though.

Just googkle for dyson repair guide or similar
