"Nah. It's the magic of the FA Cup this weekend isn't it?
Aye, watching 22 over-paid.....
Prima-donnas kick a ball about.
Rather watch rugby guys play a real sport, more exciting also."

I bet those rugby players earn a fuck of a lot more than those "overpaid Prima Donnas" playing in the FA Cup 2nd round this weekend...
It may be true at the top of the sport. Not the case in the lower leagues! |

Don't mess with his lazy stereotype, for God's sake! |

Yea, i was having more of a go at the big teams in the premiership.
You know...the players that are on like £300k a week.
A whole team wages in the lower
leagues probably amount to that. |

I was at a training session a couple of weeks ago at a shared training ground.
When we turned up there where 2 ambulances and 4 paramedics for the football players, we had a first aid kit and a man named Paul to look after us.
Paul wasn't needed. |

I played football, rugby and basketball at school. Sadly wasn't good enough to continue any of them in any senior capacity once I left but stuck with 5 a side football.
Given I played all 3 in parallel for the school team did my masculinity flit and change depending on which one I was playing at any particular time?
Was I more of a man before Xmas (rugby season) than after (when we played football)? What about when I was playing basketball (Summer) was I more or less of a man than when playing football? |

"OP ... Off to watch a bit of man on man action eh?
Nowt wrong with that...
Yea, they rugby players, some big/strong bulls/guys there.
Would like to meet fit rugby player."
There it is, in your final plea: "Would like to meet a fit rugby player."
Every now and then you do but it's largely a euphemism for fat.
In my... experience |
