Another modern soul great artist died last week. She had success late in life having been told by a record producer she was "too fat, too black, too short and too old" to be successful she went on to win a Grammy. Her voice and stagecraft (I saw her in concert at the Shepherds Bush theatre a few years ago) were second to none.
A true soul singer (not neo soul) in this world of bland and noise.
This is her and surprise guest now also RIP this year.
