If money can't buy you Happiness, what can it buy you to make you happy?
Cash isn't the be all and end all of making who a person who they are.
But it does open opportunities for them to pursue adventures.
So, someone gives you some excess money you didn't expect.
Me - I'd buy some land and start building my dream home. I just need the money for the land. The rest would then follow. |

"Similar, I would buy my parents dream home so I could move into theirs as it is mine. I would spoil my son too "
Money can't buy everything. It's true.
But I could just buy you that thing that would make you happy.

It can buy you time.
If I had lots of money I wouldn't need to work as much, hence free time and less worry.
This in turn would give me the time to do things that bring joy to my life (not just sexually lol)
I could treat my son to things he would like (that others take for granted)
I could visit my family (150 miles doesn't seem that far, but I only see them probably twice a year)
I could have a holiday for the first time in 13 yrs.
I wouldn't have to walk back from work at silly o'clock at night in the cold and dark because I could afford a taxi, or driving lessons and a car.
Yes please to a windfall! |

Strange you said money can buy you time. I was thinking of what a guy called Forbes said - founder of Forbes magazine and mega rich - and he said he'd give all his money away if only he could have more time. He said it was something he couldn't buy. He died. |

It obviously wouldn't buy more time in the sense of a longer life, but it can certainly offer more free time. It would enhance mine, I know that much. |

It might buy improved health and longevity, such as contrasted between affluent and poorer districts. That could help buy happiness for others. I've left a highly remunerative career and am studying again - I have different satisfaction and income levels and wasn't happier with the money.
