I've now had - on two seperate occasions- a loved one ( sister and son) being in a car accident that's life threatening! Hence no contact or messages before planned meet

Yet the next day asking for another chance to meet? Ummmmmmm!!!!

The last two have both said their grandad was ill coincidentally. He's just messaged me again for a meet explaining his grandad is terminal. I am very gullible I know. I would feel horrible if it were true. So giving him another chance. But no more.

Maybe they have got a period. It's like one whole week out of every four. One in four chance is pretty high odds.

I tend to think "get over it".

If I arrange to meet someone to fuck them (which is rare to be honest) but that's what this is right.... You're not to be my new best friend or anything. If something real life comes up (friends, family, dog, hamster) then chances are I'll prioritise real life over a fab meet.

If that makes me a time waster. I won't lose sleep.

I was once let down three times by the same woman....someone I already knew outside of the scene. if I remember correctly on the first occasion she caught a cold, on the second occasion she caught another cold and on the third she crashed her car.

I gave up. And then oddly we me came across each other at a sex party and spent a lovely two hours in bed together.

Maybe all the "excuses" were genuine. Seeing her next week socially for the first time in years.

Women do not always know when periods are due. They're not like clockwork!

My wife has genuinely had to cancel meets and club visits when a period has started a few days earlier than expected, or lingered on longer than expected.

Also some women seem to get super horny a day or two before their period, which can lead to arranging a meet that has to be cancelled.

"Nicked there balls whilst shaving "

A friend of ours actually did this before a meet only it was more than just a 'nick'. Trimming the hairs with a sharp kitchen knife he managed to slice into his nutsack so badly you could actually see one of his bollocks. He ended up in A&E and phoned us begging us to explain to his meet that he wasn't a time waster (we knew her as well).

Spot on honey, instead of letting you drive 35 miles, telling you where to wait, then asking you to install kik whilst waiting, had to go get cash out for more data, did as asked, then got ignored, nearly 40 miles from home, months later get told, was bad timing, then months later when I say, I would love to meet you still, but in not gonna ask, I get asked "why not ask" only to get ignored again, is this what mist people would call a timewaster? so I'm gonna say bad timing is the worst excuse I've heard, however simple a statement, best bit about it is, really wanted to meet the girl so much. And people wonder why they get grief Xx

Not necessarily! Naturally, mine could sometimes still turn up a whole week early.

I now have a contraceptive implant in my arm which mostly means no periods but they can and do still show up with absolutely NO regular pattern - Could be 6 months, could be two, could be nothing for a whole year.

I'll be damned if I'm expected to know when it's going to happen!

I wish I was given an excuse. Had planned a meet with a certain gent about 3 times now. Always about a day or two before said meet he would just go quiet on me. Not read messages etc. Drives me mad. Oh actually his first excuse was that he was worried he wasn't ready (was an out there kinky meet which was his idea) he's always online. Maybe he just likes the chat

Having read most of the thread, the thing that strikes me is that the large majority of those of you complaining about these dodgy excuses are absolutely stunning and beautiful ladies! WtF is going on? I'd give my right arm for a meet with many of you! Why the heck would ppl not honour an agreement to meet? Unless they've got really genuine problems or are cheating off a partner or work or something?

Having said that, last week I learned the lesson to see a pic of your meet before arranging a meet. It proved one can't always trust verifications. Sometimes what is not said is more important than what IS said!

But that's about choosing whether or not to meet. This thread is about choosing not to after agreeing to meet!

That for me is just mind-boggling!

Ladies who've been let down, I apologise to you on behalf of the cretins of my sex who've let you down! I'm at a loss for words! (Scratching head!)

I very often get called a timewaster

I care for mum full time and often has bouts of illness, mini strokes, fits and often rushed into hospital

Sod's law this happens when I've a meet arranged

On a few occasions had to cancel at last minute

It can't be helped

Most are understanding but a few still deem me as a timewaster although when chatting I do explain my situation

This for us too. Our little boy is severely mentally and physically disabled along with epilepsy, other health issues and a poor immune system, and he can take a bad turn at any moment.

We try to let potential meets know that we may have to cancel last minute but some will still spit their dummy out or call you a liar.

But hey ho, being called a "timewaster" (although our opinion differs as to what a timewaster is) is the least of our worries!

I had a meet arranged Friday night, and I the most unfortunate of circumstances after actually meeting nearby to the club and agreeing to go (well her follow me to be precice), her grandson managed to fall down the stairs and she had to go to hospital.

Whilst I initially respected what could have been a tragic family accident, and wished him a speedy recovery, I was somewhat bemused to be blocked by the person a few minutes later.

The whole world would be a much simpler place if we all had the metaphorical testicles to just said what the case was, instead of inventing crazy stories and then hiding from reality.

Personally I'd don't see it as time wasting if the person tells you in advance.

It maybe a tad annoying but I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt, as for me real life will always come before anyone on here.

We've had to cancel for loads of reasons before, believe it or not real life events happen! I know shock horror right?

If we cancel on someone and give as much notice as possible, if they want to get pissy about it and see us as timewasters, that's there problem not ours

Me too! Mine are completely random. Some months I won't get one, others I will. Sometimes they last a day, sometimes they last 10 days.

Shit happens, it shouldn't make me a time waster. I have been lucky so far but I'm sure I won't always be.

I've given people second chances at times and occasionally it's worked out. As for excuses I used to have a list of about ten excuses and some I know were genuine.

Excuses received:

Guy hurt his back moving office furniture and ended up in hospital - true

Same guy cancelled another time as he ended up working as an extra on WWZ the Brad Pitt movie. Also true as he was one of the SWAT team and had a firearms licence.

Different guy had a firework thrown in his car

I've had the usual sick child/parent excuse

Called in to work - works in emergency services

Best one was that it had been raining heavily and the roads were flooded.

Partner and I waiting in hotel bar for a single woman, who first she said she was going to be late, then had car trouble and waiting for the AA to show. So she cancelled. However, my partner swears that he saw her walk through the bar at some stage...

Technically, not a timewaster, as we were there anyway.

Same here, in fact it really upsets me terribly to have to cancel a play date if my period starts early, I've had to do this twice now, and I feel really bad especially when a guy has had to reorganize his work schedule to meet me, and then we can't

I am certainly not a time waster, in fact periods suck really bad as I am always more horny at that time of the month yet am unable to do anything about it!
