Because I've seen other people's profiles, I've spoken to people who are abusive, Ive spoken to people who clearly aren't intillectual in the slightest, I've spoken to people who take drugs (they are lowlifes) I've even met someone who had an abusive nature.......need I carry on ?

I'm the first to admit that sometimes I look at people and think well I'm not that bad. Its a self preservation thing.

That said there are other times I feel pretty crap about myself because I'll never look as good as some others.

I know for fact that I am the only me on here. I am therefore better than anyone trying to be me on here. My 100% me could do with improving, none of us is perfect (even the awesome ones). I will be judged as inferior by others for some things and others will think I am better than them for other things.

Then there are those that think I'm up my arse because I don't agree with their world _iew and I say so. Or because I use a wide ranging vocabulary and don't like to dumb down my language just because others think I should that I am trying to be superior.

philosophically nobody is.

everybody has a different idea of what their purpose should be and can be. you can look down on others for their actions, it's easier to do if you don't understand what is behind those actions, which is why we look upon certain hate groups as ignorant -because they usually are.

I've been brought up to know that everyone has different skills and attributes and relative strengths and weaknesses but that I'm no 'better' than anyone else and nobody else is any 'better' than me.

But I do agree with the OP that some people do think like that (or appear to at least) - my take on things is that I'll try and be the best I can be and let others worry about themselves!

Depends what the interpretation of 'better' is - and I'd wager most of us are interpreting that slightly differently so everyone isn't commenting from exactly the same baseline.

I've already said above that we all have different attributes but that doesn't make anyone better - just different.

But - sitting on the fence here - is someone who accepts rejection on here gracefully better, for example, than someone who follows that up with a email full of vile abuse and insults?

We had a rough intro too so we get where you're coming from. Good job we were already forum savvy, seen some come, get chewed up, spat out and never return, shame really.

As for the question, no we don't. We're definitely different to so many but try to match ourselves up with those with similarities in many, many aspects, whether that be meets, forum, in life, whatever. On the flip side we don't consider others to better either.
