"For a face pic
You send it
And then no reply and they block you...wtf??
Is it so hard to reply and say no thanks??"
First time it happens, it's a slap in the face but after that, you just laugh! |

"Some don't take rejection well. Some even put threads up about it. Sorry fella couldn't help it but if I seen this and I was the 1 you'd mailed I'd think I did the right thing "
Why? |

As this thread shows some people don't deal all that well with rejection. Which is why some people choose to just block |

Because I'd think I was right in thinking he wouldn't take a polite no thanks well but maybe that's just me |

Maybe, on the other hand I would think the person/people who asked for a face pic and then just blocked were ignorant and rude and not worth meeting in the first place. |

"I'd at least say thanks for sending but no thanks. Then block "
Hehehe...now this is much better.
It's not that I cant take rejection. Its more about manners. If you respond no thanks to someone, and they cant take it, by all means block them. |

"I think it's a difficult call to make sometimes.
We sent face pictures and the guy left the site " could,nt agree more...
Unfortunately it no different on here than real life " harsh
.!". Just except your going to get plenty of knock backs..
On the flip side, if thats there response its given you an insight into there outlook, thus perhaps saving unnecessary time and energy. |

OP there is a very real possibility that that are not just being rude, they could know you in the real world and choose to keep their real life and fab separate.
I found family on here and chose to hide all my face pics and block them. Worked well for a few months until we attended the same club on the same night lol. |

If you cannot or will not put face pics in your public gallery then that is a risk you run. Why complain about what others do? Putting a face pic in your public profile prevents so much disappointment... it's YOU that chooses to open yourself to disappointment by not doing so... |

Owch! That's why we have a rule that we must get a face pic with first message and why we never ask for face pics. If we ask for a face pic and then immediate reject, its obvious that it is because of their face, and I wouldn't want someone to know that. But if we reject at first message then it could be for any number meet of reasons.

Here's why a lot delete and block.
You say 'no thanks'
You get a reply saying 'why not'
You try to be polite and reply 'you're not our type, sorry'
You get yet another reply asking 'but why not, give me a reason'
At which point, politeness has now dwindled somewhat and you send 'what part of no thanks did you not understand'
And we get the inevitable 'fuck you then ugly cunts'
.
Alternatively, it's less grief to delete and block the sender. |

So are you saying the recipient found the OP to be ugly? |

I think the point of sorry you're not my type is enough. If you original sender becomes abusive or persistant, then block if you want.
I just think that if someone asks you for a face pic, and you've sent them one or two, its just good manners to respond back.

We'll continue to delete and block thanks. It works for us, and we give precisely zero fucks if that person thinks we're rude or not. We're never going to meet so there's no dramas. |

So are you saying the recipient found the OP to be ugly?"
I've no idea what the recipient thought of the OP's picture, nor can I guess as I haven't been privy to his face pics. But to be asked for a face pic and then get immediately rejected makes me feel 'owch'. Realise it can't be helped, but I try to avoid it.

Is it really that bad? In 2 years of using Fab we've never once had any abuse from anyone. There have been a handful of men and couples who we have felt have been a bit of a nuisance so we've ended up blocking. But it's been far and few between. Don't see the point in routinely blocking - that closes doors, and we might meet at a party or a club so that would be embarrassing.
