The best one I heard was a friend called her car Jimi. She said it was because she came up behind a car and said 'Move over Rover and let Jimi take over'.
Rock fans will understand!

Mine is Phoenix
Why?
A number of reasons really
1. It is a Firebird
2. I bought it Salvage, waaaaay back in 2003 (it had had a minor knock and needed a few replacement body panels) and put it back on the road.
3. I've had to take it off the road on two occasions since to do some overhaul work
So it is a beast that has 'risen from the flames' on a few occasions  |

They are inanimate machines.
Unlike even an animal which responds to the noise that it recognises, which we call a name; cars don't.
My cars are just
" the big one "
" the small one"
"The old one"
And
"The fast one".

Mines called Adam, due to the fact it's a 3.0litre V6 that knocks out 326 bhp. Adam was the name of the beast in beauty and the beast! So it's a bit of a beast |

MinEssex called 'Mondildo' due to the fact it's always fucking things up... OK breaking down.
Needs a new name now she's all repaired.... thinking 'Costly' due to the amount she's taken from my pockets |

Oh, I forgot to mention the name I gave to the little Toyota I was using while the Phoenix was off the road.
Because it was my little donkey, I called it Hote (pronouced Hotay)
As in Don Quixote, lol |

Mine is called Betty, it is because the first Fiesta I had was blue so thought it went quite well, now I have changed the car but kept the name, seems to suit the car and everyone knows what I'm referring to when I say things about her!! |
