I hate the Daily mail but am struggling with this, Was just in a local supermarket, hardly any papers are leading with it and The Mail article is a double page spread.
Tha Mail is a vile hate filled rag, there is plenty to attack ot for but is anyone really surprised that this story is not prominent? |

I imagine it will just dissolve into an endless loop of game shows like Pro-Celeb Mouth-To-Mouth Resuscitation with various figures from TV who've now entered politics taking turns to be drowned and given the kiss of life.

The newspapers are a dying entity. Within 10 years none will exist anymore.
I used to think that they provided a valuable service but now they are becoming obsolete and pointless in a world where news and analysis are instantaneous.
And as they become less relevant, the views in them become more extreme partly because they can't afford the best reporters and partly by trying to pull in punters with shock headlines. |

But that's what people do. You only need to look at some of the Brexit threads. For the most part people were very binary and only listened to the views/news that backed up their choice.
They now have that choice even more as they can pick and choose the new feeds they see. |

I've been refusing to click on any link that goes to their click bait troll-site for at least three years, but it is slightly scary how many "have you seen this story " posts on forums generally are supported by a link to mailonline.
I can only conclude that people shouldn't be allowed freedom of expression on the Internet , although that is admittedly quite a daily mail attitude.
