Heeellllppppp!

Me and Smelly ( cos she is) got home an hour ago from our walk. In the rain! She is a spaniel and loves the local nature reserve. She found two pheasants. And got covered in sticky buds. An hour of drying and removing them later I wondered....anyone got any top tips for removing them?

Shave her

Or use baby oil. My nephew pony gets thistles stuck in her main and tail and we use baby oil so they pretty much brush straight out.

My spaniel used to have the same issue. I just cut them out in the end after trying (and failing) everything else I could think of.

Try a horse mane and tail detangler or a serum type of thing- they will slide out x

She's already a dominatrix. If I pamper her with baby oil I'll really be in trouble. She gets shorn in hot weather but it's too chilly for a cut now. She doesn't like the dark either!

Thanks folks. I'm still brushing them out. They burn well on the fire though lol

Mold

Clippers

Seriously, it's about the only way you'll get them out without spending hours grooming

She's 6 years old and I'm sure she's still convinced she's 6 months! Loves the Hoover but they still don't shift. Her hair dryer (yes I know) works a bit too.

Wish I could post a picture of her covered in them lol

They are a nightmare. I pick them out with my long nails. We also had ticks in the fields near us in the summer, she was always picking them up
