A fly is flying towards and insecticuter. As it is about to hit the electric zapper, it has a heart attack. Its forward momentum takes it on to the zapper.

Does it work like a defribulator and bring the fly back to life?

It might do. However the 3rd degree burns might send it back from whence it came!

No it wouldnt, you've been mislead by TV, defibrillulators, to give them their correct name, doesn't restart a heart it stops them. It's used on people who are suffering from a heart that isn't beating correctly.

Off the grid

It comes back to life, flies round and accelerates at ever increasing speed towards your head, knocking you flying onto the floor.

As it does so, you hear it's tiny yet irate fly voice say "Stop asking such inane questions!"

It depends if the zapper is on a conveyor belt; and whether the conveyor belt is made to go at the same speed as the fly,but in the opposite direction.( or is it the same direction?)

Which means that the fly can't fly; ( or perhaps the fly can fly faster, or that it can still fly even though it was dead.)

Sorry, what was the question?

The answer is definitely yes

Or no

Or both. ( but only if the fly and the zapper are in a box with schroedinger's cat). It doesn't matter then if it's on a conveyor belt or not.

I think that's clear enough

No how can it. Flies only eat currents when they are alive, so how can the current from the zapper get into the fly to save it?

Also, flies don't wear trousers, so don't need a belt, that won't help either.

So the fly will stay flying around, but dead. Obvs.

Of course the real answer is ( like the fucking plane) the question is illogical as insects don't have hearts ( they don't have a circulatory system),

So the fly can't have a heart attack.

no fella the fly now gets cooked because that's what they do they instantly cook the insect from the inside out as far as I know . only good thing is the fly doesn't feel the instant pain of being cooked alive .

No cos a defibrillator stops the heart then shocks it back to a normal rate

Central

The devices I see usually have the flies stuck on to them, so whilst in a nanosecond the fly might be resuscitated - and that's an enormous might - if it remained stuck on to the electricity pumping wires, it's just going to cook the thing. Flies have somewhat different circulatory systems to humans, not having the closed type system, with a heart pumping the equivalent of blood through a network of pipes - it's an open system, that circulates their fluids are pumped throughout their tissues. What causes their hearts to pump, I don't remember from my old biology classes but it's likely that a basic pacemaker ability exists in components of the much simpler heart elements that insects have, compared to humans. Whether a huge surge of electrical current from the wires would restart the pacemaker, is another matter The action potential that's requiredd, in order to get those dainty little nuisances' hearts beating, is probably miniscule compared to those machines.

If you like cooked insects, then there's free food.

if you take a fly and submerge it in water until it drowns (this takes a while) and then once the fly is dead put it on top of a pile of salt and then cover with more salt (basically Bury it in lots of salt) the salt will dry the fly and bring it back to life I shit you not.

I didn't believe it but I tried it and it works..have shown a few people now. It's an odd trick but a good one (though probably not for the fly)

"Better question is if a fly hits a truck on the move will the impact cause both to stop for a nano second lol

Er,no,if the fly and the truck were the same mass travelling at the same velocity perhaps but in this case...,fly +truck =tiny, tiny pancake! "

I'm not a biologist or a physicist... but I can tell you that...

No the zapper wouldn't act as a defib as the watts/amps are too high. A defib has less than 0.1 amps going through it but 330 joules of energy.

"A fly is flying towards and insecticuter. As it is about to hit the electric zapper, it has a heart attack. Its forward momentum takes it on to the zapper.

Does it work like a defribulator and bring the fly back to life?

if you take a fly and submerge it in water until it drowns (this takes a while) and then once the fly is dead put it on top of a pile of salt and then cover with more salt (basically Bury it in lots of salt) the salt will dry the fly and bring it back to life I shit you not.

I didn't believe it but I tried it and it works..have shown a few people now. It's an odd trick but a good one (though probably not for the fly)"

Your party piece is drowning flies?
