People who email for the first time saying "hi, here's my number"...desperate or reason to be suspicious of them?

Can be seen as both or neither..it's been really good for me in the past and other times you just know their fake profiles. Had a awesome meet from someone just sending thier number..but if they send it I'll ring it straight away unless they've said to only call at a certain time

I never give my number and never entertain those emails. Just seeking people's experiences with that.

Unless you inadvertently ring a premium rate number that ends up costing a small fortune

It's the ones with the phone number on their profile or in their status that frighten me. Especially when they're getting multiple verifications on a daily basis.

We once got sent a message giving a phone number and full address details asking if we were free right then and to come over. Needless to say we deleted and blocked the profile

We ignore and delete. If we're interested in the profile we'll encourage dialogue via fab before contemplating exchanging numbers.

Really? Never had that. I wouldn't trust it to be their number, especially if it's a lady. Probably some guy giving an exes number out as revenge or something ..
