He has been charged with attempted rape in New York.. pulled off a plane heading to France minutes before it took off.

Now standing in the dock being charged with attempted rape.

what a downfall.. and now his past comes back to haunt him..

he has waived his immunity so far to co-operate with the enquiry... he could however stop co-operating at any point at which case it would then be up to the IMF

The International Monetary Fund was conceived in July 1944 originally with 45 members and came into existence in December 1945 when 29 countries signed the agreement,[5] with a goal to stabilize exchange rates and assist the reconstruction of the world’s international payment system.

by all accounts (alledgedly) with the young journo from a decade ago now coming forward he may well have a track record.

does not mean of course he is not innocent of the latest allegation

but if it was a honey trap from the far right he was perhaps halfway in the net allready

Are you sure? My instinct would be that he doesn't have any form of protection and the look on his face suggests that, if he did have immunity, he'd have invoked it.

well there are some in the EU who would want the whole corrupt gravy train to derail.

he was doing quite well politically and diplomatically with trying to do a 'top up' or complete new loan for Greece and perhaps Portugal who both look like defaulting on their original bail outs.

some want Greece kicked out but where do you stop then?

the whole political future of the EU is very tied up in the current financial state of several member countries.

Definitely sure. A BBC News article quoted the precise wording of the 1940's article.

And whereas Diplomats are limited to the single country where they act, Heads of world bodies are unlimited.

It is upto the IMF to claim the immunity, if required.

On an earlier article today on BBC Radio 2, comment was made that his nickname is something like "the rampant rabbit " ( in french ) as he is a known womaniser.

The article also stated that he had broken IMF rules some 6 years ago by having an affair with a married woman.

So,, ceratily a track record. An easy target if someone has tried to frame him.

I wonder how many chambermaids are groped by randy old fuckers during the course of their daily duties. This guy has a few quid and in the U.S. the 1st Amendment means she can sell her story whether he's convicted of any misdoing or not.

If he has raped the girl then surely DNA evidence will substansiate this.

Another woman has come forward saying that she was raped by him some years back.

Lets face it.... he is going to walk because of who he is. If guilty he should be castrated. Bring forth the guilliotine

Well he's been banged up in the notorious Rikers Island prison in New York. Authorities believe he will flee the country so haven't given him bail. I'd say that's pretty much diplomatic immunity stripped and he aint getting it back.

This man has few friends in Washington. He has criticised the lack of financial regulation in the USA and from memory was particularly scathing in the award winning documentary about the role of the USA in the worldwide financial crisis (Inside Job). More recently he has criticised the senior appointments with the Treasury because of their direct involvement in the opposition to introducing financial regulation in Wall Street not just up to 2008 but even very recently.

There are some pretty good reasons why some very big hitters would want this guy removed from office.

He was warned by Sarcozy to curb his letharious antics only last year. The hotel in which he allegedly committed this offence has experienced his antics in the past yet for some inexplicable reason (or due to the fact that he's a powerful rich man) they decided to sweep it under the carpet (probably paid the girls off). He's infamous in France as a serial sex pest and although it hasn't been proved in this case yet, it's looking more and more likely that he's finally gone too far.

Here is a more measured _iew on the proceedings a friend just sent me:

'IMF chief tried to fuck maid after mistaking her for a small financially crippled country

IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn has claimed he only tried to fuck a New York maid because he thought she was a small Caribbean island in financial difficulty.

Mr Strauss-Kahn was remanded in custody in a New York jail despite protesting his arrest was merely the result of a case of mistaken identity.

An IMF spokesperson explained, “Forcing our engorged corporate genitals into the tiny crevices of small financially suffering countries is what the IMF is all about.”

“Once inside we pump them until they do exactly as we instruct – which only makes us harder. It’s a power thing, you know?”

“We can only apologise if Dominique mistook her for somewhere like Jamaica. He basically just went into autopilot and did what we the IMF have been doing for years – is that really his fault?”

Strauss-Kahn is being held in Rikers Island jail, with one former inmate claiming he will be having a rough time at the hands of the other residents.

He told us, “Do you know what they do in jail to the sort of perverts who regularly fuck over small financially-dependent countries? It ain’t pretty. I wouldn’t want to be him right now.”

“Sure, he’ll cry that the small countries wanted it, and gave their full consent to what the IMF did to them, but everyone knows they had no real choice in the matter.”

“The sooner these sickos are locked up, the better.”'
