I don't get many messages to be fair. Even when I'm not filtered up to the eyeballs. But some women get 100's of messages.
It gets overwhelming. You reply to messages and then more come in and you reply to them but next thing you know you get stroppy messages for not replying.... vicious circle. |

Yes a lot of people don't believe us but it honestly gets crazy at times. Im still getting through mine after having enough putting my filters up this morning.
Most of the messages are repeated abuse messages off people that I've not spoken too 
It does take the fun out of it sometimes  |

Yes, but bear in mind that if a woman replies to guys to say no thanks, she can't then use filters against them at a later date. Filters can cut down on new people messaging but will let anyone previously told no, continue to pester.
Blocking is the only sure way not to hear from people again.
And guys complain about being blocked "for no reason" too. |

Yes, but bear in mind that if a woman replies to guys to say no thanks, she can't then use filters against them at a later date. Filters can cut down on new people messaging but will let anyone previously told no, continue to pester.
Blocking is the only sure way not to hear from people again.
And guys complain about being blocked "for no reason" too."
Personally I think it's a massive flaw in the way the filters work. Should be an option to set to previously contacted too so it's stops this. But allow you past if you're friends.
It's our main reason for not replying to people. |

I'm with you on this one Lady... I hide my profile most of the time for this reason and put on filters. It's nice to have a rest at times from all the constant messaging. |

Having seen first hand the differences between solo ladies and mens accounts after we recently set up separate solo profiles, I can only sympathise with the ladies for the amount of unsolicited (and in most cases rubbish) messages they receive, even with filters and blocks etc.
In the time since we've had the solo accounts (about 3 weeks) I think I've maybe had between 5 and 10 unsolicited messages in total - my partner gets around 40 or 50 a day (and I know that's relatively low compared to some). |
