Yes the right click option is a chrome facility, but I believe if you're using mozilla you can download an add on for both Google reverse image search and Tineye. I personally find Google images gives better results. | |||

Google image is better than tinyeye I think " There is a somewhat cumbersome way to do it if you're on and Android device. If you have the pic downloaded on to your phone, there's a website you can go to on your Android browser, and then upload the pic to get the results. I unfortunately can't post the link to the site. | |||

I think there's a bit more to it than that. Let's say there's an unverified profile. The owner of that profile might be a really nice genuine person. Another one might be a timewasting fake, with stolen pics. Being able to identify the dis-honest person makes it better for everybody on the site, existing members and new. btw I'm not an image search nazi, I've only done it a handful of times, it's just a handy tool / fun thing to be able to use. | |||

You can justify it anyway you want just like a sad loser putting fake pictures up can justify it if they put there mind to it . The fact someone searches because they want to make sure the physical is real says just as much about the person running the search as it foes those who put fake pictures up . | |||

" I'm not justifying it. But, I think saying I'm as bad as an image stealing fake, who gets a kick out of luring people to non-existent meets etc etc is strange though. Yes, there people with real pics who are timewasters too. The image search is just one handy thing that you might use if you were in doubt. I have actually never used it for that, we prefer veris, sixth sense when chatting or just meet at a club. But if we were going to meet an unverified person/couple I probably would use it. Most people seem to think it's handy, most questions are about how to do it, not why. | |||

I've never had an example where an image I searched was being used on another site which looked remotely valid. It's always been porn sites, foreign escort sites, on one occasion a the photo was a book cover and another time it was a dead celebrity. Why on earth would I want to meet someone who has so little respect for the people they're contacting that they would use photos of another person? | |||

But only by someone with malicious intent. If I'm not using it with malicious intent, there's no malice, it's just another tool for me to use in deciding whether to meet someone. I am well aware of that. But one thing is for sure, someone who is enough of a loser to use fake photos is not someone I want to meet. I wouldn't imagine those people actually meet anyway, because they'd be rumbled straight away. If I can those people out at an early stage with a quick check of tineye (google images is too much hassle for me on a iPhone) then all the better, I can use my time contacting those who actually do meet. | |||

It's just a tool to do a job, a spade is for digging holes but as found in WW1 it is also good in a fight..but a lot more people use it to dig holes luckily.. S | |||
